Most of you already know but there are some new people on this list so I’ll do a brief synopsis.

Over the past 3 weeks Maura had developed some neurological issues with her speech.  So yesterday she had an MRI which led to the identification of a mass in the speech center of her brain.  We checked her in Good Sam hospital and when the neurologist met with us today, he said he saw multiple spots in her brain on the MRI and it looked like cancer and not MS or some other thing.  Cancer that presents in the brain like this does not start in the brain but metastasizes from elsewhere.  So today was about tests to find the cancer and others to find inflammation that would indicate another pathology.

CT scan came back clear.  Praise.

Other tests today came back clear. Praise.

Maura is in good spirits, we are very at peace and trusting God w/ this.  Praise Praise Praise

They seemed pretty confident they would fine liver, lung, …, other nasty cancer today.  They were treating us with kid gloves and preparing us for the worst – this may be standard operating practice. As of this evening they seem to have ruled out the aggressive cancers and are going to continue to do tests tomorrow to find a cancer or other source (MS, infection or heart/vascular issue).

Please continue to pray.  Our prayer is complete healing and restoration.  But whatever the outcome we are in His hands and He gets the glory.  I do not believe this is the end of our story just part of it, part of God’s story.

Jeff Holland is going to set up some distribution lists for communication, logistics and to cover any needs prayer or physical.

We just saw the neurologist. He thinks MRI profile looks like cancer (multi location) which generally does not start in the brain  So full body CT scan 1st today to see if there is something somewhere else which may be the source.

He said he could be wrong.

I said in an earlier response I have a peace about this which I cannot explain except through our Fathers grace.
