Subject: Maura Update Friday AM, June 10th
Maura’s biopsy is today at 3:40PM and we are trusting God
for a miracle. We had the pre-op MRI yesterday AM and spoke to the
surgeon late yesterday. 2 of the 3 masses have grown in the past 2 weeks,
the primary one increased 20% in diameter. The doctor and radiologists
sense/diagnosis is it is either a bad cancer or a very bad cancer. Small
chance it could be a lesser cancer, inflammatory process or infection.
This is not what we expected after all the prayers and encouraging report from
the surgeon on Wednesday. None of the cancers they suspect respond well
to removal, so they are just doing the biopsy vs the more involved craniotomy.
Therefore, it is a very good chance we will be back home Saturday and
treatment, if warranted, will start as soon as Monday or as long as 2 weeks
out.
I must admit we were shaken. Last night was the 1st
time in this process I was scared. Maura was the strong and bold one last
night – great wife. We went and met with some friends and prayed with
them, revisit the things that have been prayed over us and we have seen.
We are in a much better place this AM and continue to trust
God for her healing. Please continue to work with Janet & Jeff {contact info deleted} in
supporting our physical needs. I believe they have set up a web
site. These needs will change as we learn more.
Love you all. Please continue to pray.
Terry & Maura
